Privacy and cookies

This policy explains what we do with the information you give us on this website. It follows the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Portuguese law.

Who is responsible

The controller of your data is Rogelastro, S.A. (NIF 507853016), Quinta do Rogel, Sítio da Torre, Caixa Postal 630E, 8365-184 Armação de Pêra, Algarve, Portugal. You can reach us at [email protected] or on +351 912 468 882.

What we collect, and why

When you send a booking request or a message through this website, we receive what you type into the form: your name, your email address, your telephone number, the dates and the number of guests, the apartment you prefer, and anything you write in the message field. We use it for one purpose only — to answer you and, if you decide to come, to arrange your stay.

The legal basis is your request: the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and, where no contract follows, our legitimate interest in replying to people who write to us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a stay are kept for up to two years and then deleted. Where a stay takes place, the records that Portuguese tax and tourism law obliges us to keep are held for the period that law requires.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for marketing. It is handled by the family and by the suppliers who run this website and our email — hosting and email providers acting on our instructions. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, it does so under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work, and — only if you accept them — Google Analytics cookies, which tell us anonymously how many people visit and which pages they read. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. You can refuse analytics cookies in the banner, and you can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to its use, or ask for it in a portable form. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month.

If you believe we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), the Portuguese supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will change this page. This version is from 2026.
